ICMPD’s Silk Routes Regional Office manages a broad portfolio of projects in Iraq, covering key thematic areas such as migration governance, return and reintegration, and border management.

Team Structure:
The Junior Project Officer will be based at the ICMPD Office in Baghdad and will work in close coordination with project implementation teams in Iraq as well as with ​ICMPD Headquarters in Vienna. The role operates under the overall supervision of the Head of Office in Iraq, with day-to-day collaboration alongside project teams and managers working across migration governance, return and reintegration, border management, and support to Migrant Resource Centres (MRCs).

Mandatory Languages:
Fluency in Arabic is required. Proficiency in Kurdish (Sorani) is considered a strong asset.​​
