The Enforcement of Migration Governance and Partnership through a Holistic Methodology (EMPATHY) Project aims to strengthen Türkiye’s migration management system through a comprehensive approach to return, reintegration, and alternatives to detention. The project focuses on enhancing operational capacities and procedures for safe return and sustainable reintegration, increasing access of potential returnees to the national Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) mechanism, and improving the implementation of Alternatives to Detention (AtD) procedures in line with EU and international standards. It also seeks to strengthen cooperation and capacity among stakeholders in countries of origin to support the sustainable reintegration of returnees, while reinforcing Türkiye’s capacity for migration-related capacity building, research, and regional cooperation through the International Migration Cooperation Centre.
The Project Management Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and will support the effective implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of project activities. Fluency in both English and Turkish is required.
