External Relations Officer
The External Relations Officer (ERO) works in the Unit for External and Member States Relations (EMR Unit). S/he supports the further development of ICMPD's relationships with all ICMPD Member States, potential Member States and strategic partner countries and international organisations i.e. key stakeholders. Under the overall guidance of the Head of Unit, the (ERO) develops and maintains effective working relations with all key stakeholders mentioned above.
The ERO contributes to the coordination and organisation of the external relations activities at ICMPD. S/he manages the substance function of the external engagements, including drafting written outputs i.e. concept notes, communication products and correspondence. S/he undertakes an analysis of key stakeholders' migration priorities and other relevant developments and prepares internal communication thereon.
The ERO manages meetings and missions, including their organisation, agenda setting, preparation of background/briefing documents and follow-up actions. S/he oversees the logistical organisation of missions, meetings and events. The ERO undertakes active and regular outreach activities targeting key stakeholders.
S/he works under the supervision of the Head of the External and Member States Relations Unit.
