Junior Project Officer
RRF (Return and Reintegration Facility) is a programme funded by the European Commission to facilitate operational co-operation among EU MS and between EU MS and countries of origin in the area of return and reintegration.
As one of its core activities, RRF leads the development and contributes to the implementation of the “Reintegration Assistance Tool (RIAT)". RIAT is a digital platform to manage (joint) reintegration services. Since 2022, RIAT became the case management platform for the Frontex “Joint Reintegration Programme". This Frontex JRS-programme ensures reintegration assistance for persons returning from all EU MS to over 40 countries of return (increasing to >80 in 2024). This context basically turns RIAT into the central hub for EU return and reintegration case management.
RIAT is a crucial activity for RRF. The Associate Project Officer will be part of a growing team. The primary task if focussed on the maintenance of a proactive helpdesk, but flexibility is key since activities are developed along with the RIAT-platform and the Frontex JRS. - Monitor the user base of MS and Reintegration partners.
These tasks imply regular engagement with a broad network of organisations (governmental and non-governmental) in both MS and countries of return.
- Support the organisation of RIAT training activities, meetings and events.
Position-specific expertise:
- Knowledge and understanding of process management and / or digital case management systems is an asset.
- Experience in working in an international context, with MS administrations, European Commission, Frontex or non-governmental organisations in the field of migration is an asset.
Project required qualifications and languange skills:
- In addition to the languages listed in the job profile, functional knowledge of German and / or Italian (= countries with a broad RIAT user base) is a clear asset.
- A minimum of 1 year of position-relevant work experience in migration-related project implementation is required, as well as a basic understanding of how return and reintegration are organised within the EU.
