Project Officer – Training Institute on Migration Capacity Partnership for the Mediterranean
Functional Setting:
The Training Institute on Migration Capacity Partnership for the Mediterranean (MCP Med TI) project has been established as a permanent and accredited regional training institute offering quality-assured, bespoke learning and coaching experiences that result in certification for migration actors. Based in Malta the Institute operates across the Mediterranean producing migration capacity development learning products delivered through a regional network of authorised instructors as well as through a virtual learning environment.
Embodying a capacity partnership approach, the project redefines migration partnerships to promote a fully inclusive, sustainable community of vocational educational practise through professionalism. Administered by ICMPD the Institute is governed by donor and Southern Partner states and operates in full compliance with national and industry standards and regulations.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the postholder primarily contributes through the development of authorised trainers including their selection, training, deployment and performance. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, s/he will proactively monitor trainer development activities, identifying and proposing opportunities for improvement.
Position-Specific Expertise:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of migration issues
- Experience in digital learning and their relevant platforms
- Proven experience in migration vocational trainer and training design, delivery, evaluation
and coordination.
Position-Specific Qualification and Language Skills:
- Recognised qualifications in pedagogy are an asset.
- In addition to the languages listed in the job profile (i.e. fluent English), an excellent
command of written and spoken Arabic is a requirement, with French as a clear asset.
