Junior Project Officer

Functional Setting:

The Junior Project Officer will join the team implementing the Migration Partnership Facility (MPF).   The MPF is a European Union (EU) funded initiative supporting the external dimension of EU migration policy. The MPF aims to strengthen dialogue and cooperation on migration and mobility between Member States and priority partner countries outside the EU.  The MPF implements through grants aligned to priorities described in its Calls for Proposals. The MPF grants cover two main thematic areas:

  • Support to EU Migration Priorities with Partner Countries
  • Labour Mobility Schemes and Projects

    The MPF is team is comprised of grant-focused team members as well as technical specialists to ensure that a holistic approach is taken to implementing and learning from the grants awarded.

    The Junior Project Officer will focus on labour mobility knowledge management activities and will work under the supervision of the Labour Mobility Project Specialist.

Position Specific Expertise:
  • Knowledge of EU migration policy, legal pathways and labour mobility related in particular is an asset.
  • Experience in research, analysis and drafting of documents such as blogs or reports
  • Experience in note taking and the preparation of meeting minutes/records
  • Track record in planning and support to workshops/meetings including contributing to agenda or programme development, invitation and participant management, etc. is an asset.​
Position-Specific qualifications and Language Skills:
  • A Master degree in a field relevant to labour mobility or legal pathways in the EU would be an asset
  • In addition to the languages listed in the job profile (i.e. fluent English), French is an asset.
  • Familiarity with online meeting platform tools such as Zoom and/or Teams would be an asset.
